We took one of the world's most recorded drummers and accurately extracted his feel from an acoustic recording session. The advantage of this is that you have access to extremely high quality midi files that accurately capture the groove of a world class drummer. Purdie did not play on drum pads to generate these midi files because they don't translate the subtle timing and feel that real drum heads give.

Variety of contemporary drum loops

Three professional Remix artists took these midi files and substituted their own "drum samples" and audio production techniques. This gives you a variety of contemporary drum loops. The drum samples used for each drum loop are included at the end of the audio CD and are also on the CD Rom in Aiff and Wave format for both Mac and PC users.

The DNA groove Templates included on the CD Rom contain Bernard Purdie's feel from straight ahead, laid back, driving to shuffling. These "proven" feels can be used in your original midi sequences to humanize your melodic/percussion rhythm sections.

User Manual Included

A 24 Page User's manual is included with a spreadsheet style listing of the loop points for all the drum loops on this CD. This way both Mac and PC users can listen to the loop then quickly extract and perfectly loop any drum loop on this CD.

The Turbo Edition includes a CD Rom with the DNA Groove Templates, Midi Files, Drum Samples in both Mac and PC format.
